📰 About Reportr

Reportr empowers everyday citizens to be part of the global news flow:

• Create an account
• Upload reports (photos/videos of newsworthy events)
• Earn points when agencies unlock your content
• Exchange points for real-world currency in your user panel

💰 Earning Points

• Reports: 300 base points per unlock (e.g. 3 unlocks = 900 points)
• Image Archive: 20 base points per unlocked image
• XP Bonus: Higher levels = higher earnings (up to +30% at Level 30)

🧠 Leveling System

You can level up by:

• Uploading reports or archive images
• Getting your content unlocked
• Completing your profile and adding a profile picture
• Engaging regularly on the platform

Higher levels = more points per unlock.

🏞️ Image Archive

Upload high-quality standalone images to our searchable archive — like stock photos for newsrooms.

• No upload limit, but strict quality standards apply
• Unfit or low-quality images will be removed
• Use descriptive tags for better discoverability

🚨 Content Rules & Truth Standards

We are committed to fighting fake news, AI-generated fakes, and misinformation. Violations will result in permanent account deactivation.

Our AI system checks all uploads for:

• Nudity or explicit content
• AI-generated media
• Copyright violations
• False or unethical reporting

Flagged content may be delayed for manual review.

🧾 Copyright & Usage

By uploading to reportr:

• You grant us rights to deliver your content to third-party platforms (e.g. newsrooms)
• You cannot file copyright claims after upload
• You retain authorship and may choose to display a byline

✍️ Byline Settings

Choose whether to show your name publicly when your content is used.

Format: Name Surname / aprture.io - reportr

You can toggle this anytime in your user panel.

📍 GPS Data & Location Accuracy

• We extract GPS metadata from your images for verification
• Enabling GEO data boosts your XP gains
• You can opt out of GPS extraction in your profile settings
• Your device must support and embed location data
• No GEO data? You’ll still get base XP

🪪 Press ID

Become a recognized citizen reporter with our official Reportr Press ID.

Requirements:

• At least 5 approved reports
• Completed courses:
  • Morals & Ethics in the Field
  • Field Reporting 101
  • Press Photography 101
• Manual content quality review

A digital ID will be linked to your account. A physical card is available upon request (fee applies).

🔄 Account Management

Account deletion: Accounts cannot be fully deleted, but you can anonymize your profile:

• All personal data is removed
• Your contributions remain as anonymous content

Data export: Download your personal data, logs, and history anytime from your user panel.

Report not visible?

• It may be in manual review
• Check for content violations
• Wait and refresh

Points or level not updating?

• Points may take a few minutes
• Check your notification center

If issues persist, contact support.

🚩 Reporting Abuse

Report abuse using the in-platform feature or email us directly for:

• Copyright violations
• Harassment or impersonation
• Inappropriate or abusive content
• False or AI-generated submissions

We investigate all reports promptly.

• We never sell user data
• Financial transactions are secure
• You may download or anonymize your data at any time
