These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the reportr platform by editorial/news agencies, media companies, and other registered organizations (“Agency,” “you,” “your”). By registering or using reportr, you agree to these Terms.
Platform: The reportr website, services, and related systems.
Reporters/Users: Individual contributors who upload reports, images, and other materials.
Reports: News tips, written stories, data, or other editorial content uploaded by Reporters/Users.
Image Archive: The collection of images designated on reportr as stock/illustrative material.
Unlock: The action by which an Agency obtains a license to use specific content via the Platform.
Agencies must register an account with accurate business information. Before unlocking any content, you must (a) set an invoice method and (b) request and receive unlock permissions. reportr may approve or deny unlock permissions at its discretion.
Upon unlocking content, reportr grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, worldwide license to use the content strictly as set out below:
3.1 Reports (editorial content):
– May be used only for news reporting on web, print, and TV.
– May not be used as illustrative material outside the original news context, and may not be used for marketing, advertising, promotions, or similar purposes.
3.2 Image Archive (stock photos):
– May be used as illustrative material, including for marketing, advertising, promotional or similar purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
You may not use any content without unlocking it first. Unauthorized use may lead to additional charges, suspension, and/or legal action. No ownership transfers to you; all rights not expressly licensed are reserved.
By unlocking content, you agree to be invoiced the specified amount for each item unlocked. All amounts are specified excluding VAT. Invoices are sent at the end of each calendar month. If no content is unlocked during a billing period, no charges apply.
When content is unlocked, contributing Reporters/Users receive platform credits/points according to reportr’s internal reward system. This does not create any payment obligation from you to the Reporter/User outside the Platform.
Except as expressly permitted in Section 3, you may not: (a) resell, re-license, or distribute content to third parties; (b) use Reports as stock/illustrative material or in advertising/marketing; (c) use content in a defamatory, misleading, or unlawful manner; (d) remove or obscure any required credit, watermark, or metadata where applicable.
All content remains the property of the original contributor and/or reportr. Unlocking grants a limited license only. You obtain no copyrights or other ownership rights in any content.
Content is provided “as is.” reportr does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of Reports or other content and disclaims all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. The Platform may be updated, modified, or suspended at any time.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of content complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (including privacy, publicity, and intellectual property laws). You agree to indemnify and hold harmless reportr and its affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform or content in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
reportr may suspend or terminate your account for any breach of these Terms or misuse of the Platform. All accrued payment obligations survive termination.
You authorize reportr to issue monthly invoices for unlocked content. Payment is due per the terms stated on the invoice. Late or failed payment may result in suspension, interest/late fees where allowed by law, and recovery costs.
Your use of the Platform is also subject to reportr’s Privacy Policy. You must not misuse personal data contained in content and must comply with applicable data protection laws.
reportr may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will take effect when posted on the Platform (or on the stated effective date). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
